Magdalena Magana

I am founder and CEO of SPECS and part of the first generation of EDGE Auditors and WELL Accredited Professionals in Mexico. I provide green building consulting during design and construction to achieve WELL, LEED, EDGE and TRUE Zero Waste certification.

I have a Diploma on Life Cycle Assessment of Materials and Development of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and I hold the credentials WELL AP, LEED AP BD+C, LEED AP ID+C, EDGE Auditor and EDGE Expert.

During my previous experience as a LEED Manager, I was responsible for ensuring the proper execution of construction activities for compliance with LEED certification. Previously, I provided LEED consulting services in a wide range of projects on various mixed-use, residential, commercial and industrial projects.

I hold a master's degree in Sustainable Building Technology from The University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom and graduated with a bachelor´s degree in Architecture from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM).

I have taught various lectures and workshops on LEED, WELL, EDGE and sustainable building in companies and universities throughout the country, such as Tecnológico de Monterrey and UDEM. Likewise, I was a guest lecturer at SUMe during Semana de la Sustentabilidad.
