Sobia Rafiq is an Architect and Urban Planner. A self-driven individual, she is committed to solving complex environmental issues in Indian Cities, which has led to her working with a variety of actors ranging from city municipalities and state-level government bodies to private organisations and local communities. As a project architect graduate from Manipal University, she has worked on the redevelopment of villages and in the setting up of an interdisciplinary lab to tackle urban poverty. As an urbanist, graduated from LSE Cities, she has worked on various types of city development projects like Smart City Proposals and over the years has specifically gathered expertise in the Solid Waste Management sector.
