Amrish Shah

Amrish is the founder and director of Urban Green Consultants (www.ugcafrica.com) who are at the forefront of the green building movement in Kenya, having helped achieve the first LEED certified building in the country and currently engaged in over 25 additional green building projects both locally and in seven other African countries including Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi and Senegal. He has extensive project experience in green building design and certifications, building and energy simulation modeling, carbon auditing, environmental impact assessments andenvironmental and development approvals for a diverse range of projects. Amrish is an accredited LEED GA, Green Star AP, EDGE Expert, EDGE Auditor and WELL AP.

Amrish has also held a position on the board of the Kenya Green Building Society (KGBS) since 2014. KGBS is an independent, non-profit society formed to lead the transformation of the Kenyan Property industry to environmental sustainability.
